Ho ho, I am good. Sent off an application to join a roster of writers – and forgot to attach work samples. Clever, Sandy.
Football has waned due to the hot weather and my wanting a break from organising an evening team. These precious reclaimed hours have been put towards exploring creative projects. My sketchbook now has a couple of pages worth of light drawings. I’m afraid to detail them too much until I find a nice sketching implement that won’t muck up the paper.
I’m keen to find one of those liquid pencils the Sharpie site won’t reasonably ship to Australia. If anyone notices them in shops, please tweet me!
This week has been a little on the meh side. I’ve been thinking a lot about the future; haven’t been this infatuated with possibilities in a long while. It would be nice to spend less time in the office “so I can work on my art”. Sounds terribly dreamy and unrealistic, doesn’t it? Spose if I was serious about it, I would make the most of this weekend and not go drinking tomorrow. But Saturday marks the start of what I hope will be a long, healthy abstinent run-up to Christmas. God speed.
More sketches to come as they flow out of my pencil.
