The tiniest carrot
This carrot, harvested today, has been growing for three seasons. No joke. It’s been moved from small pot to small pot, no doubt stunted before finding a home in my veggie bed. I must overcome my habit of shuffling everything around every six weeks.
As sick as I am of growing miniature vegetables, I find this amusing. Oh, turns out those tiny potatoes are safe to eat after all – a little breakfast tomorrow!
Tonight’s dinner was Vietnamese quick braised pork belly. So tasty. The secret ingredients are fish sauce and sugar. A+ would eat again, and so easy to make.
My day consisted of digging, planting, lifting, burying, braising and reading a gamedev tutorial (which I’ll write about some other time). Brain and body are spent. Would really like to play Magic: the Gathering, but sitting at a computer seems unappealing. TV for me this evening – I think I’ve earned it. :)
