Snow holiday packing guide

image

I have made a packing list for my snow trip. This doesn’t include other essentials like toiletries, Berocca, ***PASSPORT*** and novel, but it’ll do.

Pro tip: Moving house the week before going away means you’ll pretty much have no time to chillax before departure. I say ‘pretty much’ because it’s not as if you’re a total work horse, you just won’t have as much leisure time as you’d like (no gaming all night). Especially if you’ve got a housesitter coming and can’t leave your home half in boxes for the duration.

To celebrate being out of the old place, we had dinner at Blackbird. I didn’t take any photos, because it was just two of us and there were many things (teaspoons, menus, beer, side dishes) to fiddle with. Their autumn/winter menu is rad; everything we had was damn tasty and rich, but my absolute favourite was the cauliflower cheese. Simple comfort food.

I’m home now and in bed. Tomorrow and the morrow after will be busy. I don’t care that ‘busy’ became an unfashionable word last week. I am busy and will enjoy the sweetness of that being over once I board the plane.
